Maybe it was because I was a first time mama, but my pregnancy seemed to last FOREVER.

When I was in labor, those intense moments during transition felt like an eternity.

I spent a day and a half in the hospital after I gave birth, but it seemed more like a thousand!

As my newborn and I learned our sleeping and breastfeeding rhythms, the first few weeks felt so, so long.

The months of night feedings before my baby started sleeping through the night on his own went on and on - would it never end?

Now my son is beginning to show signs of weaning himself. This breastfeeding chapter is slowly coming to a close.

What chapter are you in right now? Know that it does end. Every season of parenthood, whether it’s something that lasts a few days or a few years, ends. Some of those seasons are sweet and joyful. Some are just plain hard! Either way, everything eventually changes.

When some seasons are a struggle, it’s okay to look forward to the finish line. And when they have been sweet, it’s okay to grieve the loss. Just like sunrises and sunsets, each day inevitably comes to a close. Acknowledge them all - the days that are filled with laughter and the days that are filled with tears. Every single one changed you and grew you.

What can you learn from the season you’re in right now?
